Blocking or Blooming

January 1, 2025

it can be hard to appreciate just how powerful our selves are.

we can block our self infinitely from progress. or we can step aside and let ourselves bloom.

it’s hard to appreciate how powerfully capable we are in doing both - blocking, and blooming.

it can be even harder to accept how simple it can be to choose which mode we want to be in. as simple as a switch, yet hard to grasp.

I think because the mind is expecting a complicated answer, a long drawn process of inner work, reflection, struggle. but it can happen in an instant. 0 to 1. off to on.

and that simplicity I think is unbearable to accept at some level for the mind. because accepting it means the mind has to face itself and admit it could always have done it, and no longer say - i was unable to because of some hard work and struggle or trials we first need to undergo.

yet, all that is the mind getting into blocking mode again, it’s so wonderfully capable of doing so.

so, what to do?

i think our mind listens to us, like a person in a conversation, we can request the mind to follow a new mode, new narrative, to allow blooming vs blocking.

and if the mind resists, we can simply say - try it and see. if we don’t like it we can always continue blocking forever.
